Build Modular Paper Constructions with 64 Printable Modules
The Modular Builder Set is a system of small geometric paper modules that can be combined to create larger constructions. It is suitable for home use, studios, and classrooms. The modules are quick to assemble and allow for repeated arrangement, variation, and refinement.
What You Receive
The set includes 64 base modules, organized into 8 series of 8. Each module comes with a one page folding diagram. The download also includes 12 construction examples, which demonstrate different ways the modules can be joined and extended. Files are provided in PDF, DXF, and SVG formats.
How the System Works
Each module forms a small paper volume. Once assembled, the modules can be joined to one another using simple spatial connections. By combining modules in series or across series, you can create compositions ranging from small studies to larger continuous structures.
The Modules
The 8 series offer different geometric profiles. You may work within a single series for consistency, or combine series for greater variation. The modules are designed to complement one another so that mixing them remains coherent.
Sample Instruction Page
Each module has a one page folding guide showing cut lines, fold lines, and short notes. The pages are organized so that cutting and folding can be completed with scissors or a craft knife and simple tools.
Building Constructions
Begin with the included construction examples. These introduce the three primary joining methods and illustrate how larger structures accumulate. After building a few examples, you can begin composing your own forms.
Slot Connection
Two modules interlock by sliding notched edges together.
Insertion
One module fits partially inside the interior volume of another.
Hybrid Connection
A combined join in which insertion is reinforced with a slot.
Classroom Use
The set supports individual and collaborative work. Students can construct modules independently and assemble them together into collective forms. The system can be used to introduce ideas of form, symmetry, repetition, proportion, and spatial reasoning.

Files and Compatibility
PDF is ready to print and cut by hand. DXF works well with Silhouette and other cutters. SVG is suited for Cricut and layered cutting workflows. Layer organization is consistent across formats so instructions remain clear.
Scale and Paper Choices
PDF files are designed for printing at 1:1 scale. DXF and SVG files are provided in 1UP, 2UP, and 4UP layouts, also at 1:1 scale. You may scale the modules up or down in your cutting software while maintaining proportions.
