Geotrees

A geometric way to think about trees

Geotrees is a set of shapes you can use to build abstract trees. The goal is not to make realistic trees, but to suggest them using basic forms.

When I started my journey in arts, back in the previous millennium, 3D modeling was still very new. Adding trees and anything organic to architectural images was difficult.
So instead of trying to achieve the impossible task of making realistic trees, I took a different path and used simple, abstract shapes. It also opened the door to something you can’t really do in real life: designing your own trees, a bit like bonsai.

Designing your own trees

This set lets you build your own trees using a small set of parts. The shapes are simple and open to interpretation. It’s meant to be playful. There is no fixed way to assemble them so you can try different combinations and see what happens.
