The Soma Cube is a well-known geometric puzzle created by mathematician Piet Hein in 1933. It consists of 7 pieces, each made up of 3 or 4 unit cubes, that can be assembled into a 3x3x3 cube. The pieces can also be arranged freely to create a variety of geometric shapes, which is something I enjoy. I have included an image showing 12 examples made with basic plastic blocks.
I used these 3D models to create the miniature concrete Soma Cube puzzle shown in the attached images.
The models can easily be 3D printed using the STL or OBJ files, allowing you to make your own physical version. When preparing the files for printing or if you use a 3rd party, upload them in mm.
